Tirana Police have finalized the "Pasoja" operation, arresting Ahmet Bellahu, 40, wanted for fraud with serious consequences.

According to authorities, Bellahu had taken 21,000 euros from a citizen, deceiving him by saying that he would provide him with documents to travel to the United States of America. For this offense, the Tirana Court sentenced him in 2024 to 6 years in prison.

The operation was carried out by the services of Police Commissariat No. 2, in cooperation with specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, as part of the controls and operational actions to capture wanted citizens.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.

As a result of the controls and operational work, with the objective of capturing wanted citizens, accused/convicted of various criminal offenses, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2, in cooperation with specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, finalized the operation "Pasoja", during which the wanted citizen, Ahmet Bellahu, 40 years old, was located and detained.

The Tirana Court sentenced the 40-year-old, in 2024, to 6 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Fraud", with serious consequences.

This year, he took advantage of a citizen, 21,000 euros, by deceiving him into providing him with the necessary documents to travel to the United States of America.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
