Residents trapped by snow in Bjeshkët e Javorrit, rescue teams 'stuck' at Qafë e Markofçe

In the early hours of the morning, Tropoja Municipality teams and additional vehicles headed towards Bjeshkë e Javorrit, to help residents stranded by heavy snowfall.

Currently, the teams have reached the Markofce Pass, where they are facing great difficulties in opening and clearing the road, which is blocked in several segments as a result of snowstorms and strong winds.

At around 07:30, contact was made with Arbër Sokolaj, who confirmed that the condition of his family members, trapped by the snow, is good and without health problems.
