The Flamurtari Club has reacted harshly after a video circulated in the media, showing President Sinan Idrizi exercising violence against journalist Edon Kuqi.
"An unidentified group of persons illegally intervened, preventing our club's administrator from performing his functions. This act is unacceptable and constitutes a clear attempt to denigrate and hinder Flamurtari's sporting activity ," the club's response states.
According to Flamurtari, members of this group, disguised as journalists, are suspected of being equipped with sophisticated weapons, making the situation created at "Air Albania" even more dangerous.
"Our suspicions are serious that members of this group, disguised as journalists, were also equipped with sophisticated weapons, which makes the event and the risk created for the safety of the participants even more serious," the red and black club emphasizes.
The people of Vlorë thanked the leaders of Tirana for their quick intervention and warned that they will follow the legal path to the end to fully clarify the incident.
"Albanian sport cannot be held hostage to violence and attempts at intimidation. Flamurtari will not allow anyone to use slander and orchestrated attacks to harm our club," the reaction concludes.
