The "drug group" file in Drenovica, GJKKO brings 17 defendants to trial

After more than seven months from the filing of the Special Prosecution's request, the Special Court decided this Friday to send for trial the file of 17 people accused of cultivating cannabis in greenhouses in the village of Drenovicë, Berat.

The decision was issued by Judge Flojera Davidhi, who accepted SPAK's request submitted in January of this year.

Among the defendants are the following citizens: Blerim Xheka, Sadetin Hasaj, Sidrit Bisha, Endriol Xheka, Jurgen Ujkaj, Suad Smakaj, Samoel Lushaj, Mirvaldo Disha, Hamdi Dyli, Arben Vrapi, Adiol Çifliku, Lulzim Bushataj, Mustaf Manej, Bashkim Mema, Edison Mema, Drita Mema and Izmire Mema.

Investigations revealed that 93 women were also involved in the illegal activity, who worked in cannabis greenhouses, but SPAK declared them incompetent.
