The deletion of footage from the DVRs of the two bars where the victim stayed before he was killed was done intentionally. The images were recovered only after the prosecution and the Police of Korça contracted a private expert, who through programs was able to recover the deleted footage.
That was enough for the Dhorina Theodhori prosecutor's office today to make the decision to arrest three people Voltan Shkulaku, Leonidha Guçe and Arjan Manellari, for whom the security measure "arrest in prison" was requested.
Their arrest was carried out this morning by the structures of the investigation of Serious Crimes in Korça. With these arrests carried out today, the number of those arrested for the murder of Eglantin Proga has reached 4 people arrested, including the arrest of Denis Meçe in August 2024.
It is expected that in the following days the three arrested will appear before the district court, to be officially recognized with the charges and the security measure "arrest in prison".
For the investigation of this complex case and which shocked the public opinion, the police and the prosecutor's office of Korça requested the help of the cyber laboratory in SPAK, but this prosecutor refused to provide technical assistance.
According to a medical-legal expertise, the death of Eglantin Proga, in the middle of August in Pogradec, was the result of a hemorrhage in the brain membrane and a hemorrhage in the brain tissue.
This is the final conclusion reached by the two forensic experts Gjergji Kaçauni and Klevis Shella, who after two weeks of examination came to the conclusion that the 42-year-old Proga died as a result of a punch.

The serious event that shocked the country happened as a result of a joke that was then accompanied by serious insults in the premises of a bar, between two acquaintances in Pogradec, where as a result the father of two children, Eglantin Proga, lost his life.
The event brought a wave of accusations addressed by the public opinion and the media towards the police station of Pogradec and the prosecutor's office of Korça, on the way of handling this case, calling the event as accidental.
In fact, after the jokes made and further with the transition to cursing and insulting, it was a punch that the author of the crime, Denis Meçe, gave to Eglantin Proga, who fell on the sidewalk and died instantly.
