EMRI/ Sentenced to 15 years in prison for human trafficking, 42-year-old

The State Police has announced the arrest in Italy of a 42-year-old Albanian man, who had been internationally wanted for years for the criminal offense of human trafficking.

The arrest of the wanted person came as a result of full coordination of information and operational actions between specialists from Interpol Tirana and specialists from Interpol Rome. The citizen arrested in the neighboring country is Sefer Selimaj, also known by his second name (alias) Ani Ibraliu, 42 years old.

This citizen was an internationally wanted person after the Tirana Court of Appeals, in 2017, finally sentenced him to 15 years in prison for human trafficking. According to official data from the police authorities, from this sentence given by the Albanian justice system, the 42-year-old has exactly 13 years, 10 months and 19 days of imprisonment left to serve.
