The court leaves Elvis and Gjon Shkambi in prison, the perpetrators apologize to the judge's family

The Tirana Criminal Court has ordered security measures for three people arrested in connection with the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja, while on duty, three days ago.

Elvis Shkambi, Gjon Shkambi and Baunsh Kopxhaj have been remanded in custody. The hearing was held today by Judge Marinela Osmani.

Elvis and Gjon Shkambi publicly apologized to the family of Judge Kalaja, while testifying that the incident was caused by severe psychological trauma due to the long ordeal of the trials.

They had claims to the court because they had not properly resolved the ownership issue.
