The court overturned Llagami, Asim Vokshi will be sworn in as President next

Judge Asim Vokshi will be sworn in as the new member of the Constitutional Court next week. President Bajram Begaj, when asked by Report TV journalist Esiona Konomi, said that the oath will take place "next week."

His swearing-in was postponed due to a complaint filed by Naureda Llagami, who alleged irregularities in the meeting held at the Constitutional Court, where Vokshi was elected as a new member after having the highest scores. She initially appealed to the Administrative Court, but this court said that the request was outside its jurisdiction. Llagami then appealed to the Constitutional Court, where she was also rejected after this court failed to issue a decision due to lack of quorum.

Llagami requested that the decision of the Supreme Court, which appointed Asim Vokshi as a member of the Constitutional Court, be annulled and that she be declared the winner, claiming that a vote had been declared invalid without right in the voting process. The members of the Constitutional Court did not reach the necessary majority of votes to accept her request. For this reason, according to the law, the request was considered rejected. The judges were divided into two groups of opinions.

According to some judges, Llagami was not entitled to take the case to the Constitutional Court as an individual, since the right to be elected as a judge of this court is not a fundamental right protected by the Constitution.
