The Gjirokastra Prosecution Office has registered criminal proceedings for the criminal offense of 'Causing suicide' in connection with the serious incident, where a 17-year-old girl ended her life after being bullied by her classmates and teachers.
The minor with the initials I. M, ended her life in her apartment on February 10.
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra has registered criminal proceedings for the criminal offense of 'Causing suicide' provided for in Article 99 of the Criminal Code.
Based on the materials referred by the Gjirokastra Police Commissariat, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Gjirokastra has registered criminal proceedings no. 70, of 2025, in relation to the event of 10.02.2025, where the minor citizen IM was found dead in her apartment in Gjirokastra.
Within the framework of this proceeding, an investigative group has been established, which is carrying out all necessary actions with the aim of fully clarifying this matter, starting with questioning persons who have knowledge of the criminal offense.
