The names of the 35 arrested in Greece as part of the anti-drug operation, which was developed as a result of the analysis of messages in the "Sky ECC" and "Encrochat" applications carried out yesterday, have been released.
According to the Greek police, a total of 24 people were arrested in this mega-operation, while 7 others are wanted.
The investigation file includes 15 Albanian citizens (one deceased), some Greek citizens and citizens from Russia, Moldova, Georgia and China, who were part of 4 criminal groups.
The criminal groups were involved in the trafficking and distribution of marijuana and cocaine drugs and money laundering, while there are also charges against them for illegal possession of weapons.
A laboratory for the cultivation of narcotic plants was also discovered during the operation. According to the police, these groups trafficked drugs from Albania and Spain, mainly through vehicles that transported legal materials, distributed drugs in Greece, and transported or laundered money earned from illegal activities.
During the investigations, 106 episodes related to the trafficking and distribution of narcotics, totaling 1 ton of 784 kg of marijuana and 43 kg of 700 grams of cocaine, or the transportation and laundering of money, as well as the attempted murder of citizen Ari Papa, occurred on February 26, 2021 in Greece.
It is estimated that around 8 million and 455 thousand euros have been circulated from drug trafficking and distribution.
During the checks carried out yesterday as part of the operation, about 9.5 kg of marijuana (a part of the SKUNK type), 1450 cannabis sativa narcotic plants, about 1.3 kg of cocaine, 4 pistols, 1 pair, 463 cartridges, 1 silencer, 1 barrel were seized. weapons, 6 combs, 16 knives, 2 clubs, 1 fist booster, 1 wand metal, 17 porotechnic items, 6 scales, 1 drug grinder, theft materials, 1 expensive watch, 49 cell phones, 4 laptops, 3 tablets, 1 fake ID card, 1 currency counter, 1 hard drive, over 30 vehicles, 7 motorcycles, 475,300 euros, 7,400 Albanian lek, 160 Australian dollars, 2 Ghanaian cents, 140 Polish slot, 160 United Arab Emirates dirham, 1 free gold.
The suspects mostly lived in luxury apartments and traveled in expensive vehicles, with income mainly from illegal activities.
According to the Greek police, one criminal group was led by the Albanians Denis Grabocka and Andon Salati, another was led by Aleksandër Sadikaj (killed in Albania in 2022), another by Aleksandro Pando, while the fourth group was led by the Greek Dhionisio Siountri.

Under the charge of money laundering, Eglantina Pando, 57 years old, as well as a Greek and a Chinese, have also been arrested, while a user of the "Encrochat" application who carried out money transfers with the "Haëala" system is unidentified.
During the controls within the operation, Marjus Pashaj, 28 years old from Delvina, and a Greek citizen were also arrested in the act for other criminal offences.
