The General Directorate of Prisons has informed through an official statement that the prisoner Andrea Bregasi died in the Fushë Krujë Health Center due to a cardiac arrest.
In the announcement, it is reported that Bregasi was a user of narcotics and had started treatment with methadone by the medical staff of the IEVP.
Bregasi, who was in the IEPP Fushë Kruje with the status of a detainee, died at 2:32 p.m., while he was suspected of committing the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

Today, on July 20, 2024, citizen Andrea Bregasi, 33 years old, passed away at the Fushë Krujë Health Center due to a cardiac arrest at 2:32 p.m. The detainee showed concern and immediately around 14:15 he was sent to the Fushë-Kruje Health Center in an ambulance.
Citizen Bregasi was a narcotic user and had started methadone treatment by the IEVP medical staff. This treatment was intended to help rehabilitate him and improve his health.
Andrea Bregasi was transferred to the IEVP Fushë Krujë on July 12, 2024.
Citizen Andra Bregasi, son of Hysen and Dhurata, born 09.12.1991, born and resident in Tirana. Civil status single, judicial status convicted, 8th grade education, Albanian nationality and citizenship. This person is in the IEVP Fushë Kruje with the status of a detainee.
• With the decision 454 dated 12.07.2024 of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, the security measure "Arrest in prison", as a suspect for committing the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and of ammunition" provided by article 278/1 of the Criminal Code.
• Also with the decision 1779 reg. I say date 14.07.2024 of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Tirana, it was decided to continue the measure of personal security "Arrest with prison" against the person under investigation Andrea Hysen Bregasi, with the decision no. 14 act dated 05.01.2024 of the Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction in which he is accused of committing the criminal offenses "Murder in other qualifying circumstances" remaining in the attempt, as well as "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons , explosive weapons and ammunition" provided by articles 79 letters "dh" - 22 and article 278/1 of the Criminal Code.
