From the murder of Chief Commissioner Lamaj to escaping from prison twice/ Who

Wanted by Albania and sentenced to 14 years in prison, he has been placed in handcuffs in Luxembourg and is expected to be extradited to our country.

A 30-year-old man born in Kruja has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated Murder", "Destruction of Property with Explosives", "Theft with Force", "Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition", "Theft" and "Removing a Prisoner from the Place of Residence".

Edison Pula is known as the man who blew up the careers of two police officers in Albania after escaping just as they were putting him in prison. He has also escaped from a prison in Italy.

He left Treviso prison together with two other Albanians, the latter arrested within a few hours.

But more than the episodes of thefts in Italy and Albania and the involvement in drugs, the name of fugitive Edison Pula is linked to one of the organized TNT attacks against people investigated for the theft of a vehicle that was used to murder Chief Commissioner Ditan Lamaj.

The phone number that activated the TNT bomb on September 19, 2016 in Gentjan Bejtje's vehicle, which was severely damaged at the time, betrayed Elidon Pula and his associates.

At that time, the Serious Crimes Unit investigated the target of the Pula assassination, Gentjan Bejtja, together with Enver Stafuka, as the thieves who secured the "BMW" car from which Dritan Lamaj, Martyr of the Homeland, was shot with a volley.

For the assassination attempt that aimed to eliminate a person who knew about the perpetrators of the murder of a police officer like Lamaj, the prosecution took under investigation not only Edison Pulaj but also Oltion Cacë, both of whom were charged with attempted premeditated murder and explosive device explosion.

This investigation, along with the guilty verdicts, has been appealed to the High Court, along with other episodes for which the fugitive is accused in Albania, such as theft and drugs.

In Krujë, two days after he was taken into custody in December 2016, Edison Pula escaped from the hands of two police officers, Denis Çela and Naim Stafuka, by fleeing. The police officers who were arrested for abuse of office said that as soon as they took him out of the car to take him to the police station, the suspect took advantage of the open door and fled.
