The distribution of election materials has begun in Shkodra, in connection with the parliamentary elections of May 11. The process has continued peacefully, as over 74 thousand people are eligible to vote in the Shkodra district.
3.7 million Albanian citizens will head to the ballot boxes on Sunday to elect their 140 representatives in Parliament.
For the first time, the diaspora is also voting, with 245,935 registered Albanian emigrants, but there have been problems with the mailing or return of emigrant envelopes, mainly in Greece.
There are 11 political entities or coalitions in the race, with each entity competing with 186 candidates on the voting list, 46 of whom are on the safe list.
