Parents and students of the Artistic School " Jan Kukuzeli " in Durrës protested after the security officer was fired.
The reason was the insufficient number of students in secondary education.
The officer had only left for a student. In this school, children learn from primary, 9-year-olds to secondary school.
There are a total of 324 students, of which 79 are in the Middle School. There had to be 80 students for the security officer to function according to the law.
" Yesterday we had a meeting with the principal and the parents and we were informed about increased security in schools, but we were informed that yesterday an email had arrived about the departure of the security officer. The reason for the absence of a student ", - says a parent .
In the protest in front of the school, the parents expressed their concern for the lack of security in the school, especially after the murder of the ' Fan Noli ' student , Martin Cani.
Through a petition but also by voice, they requested from the Educational Directorate and the Ministry of Education the return of the security officer, emphasizing that their children from the age of 6 to 17 learn in common facilities.
