"Most of TikTok's users are in the 16-20 age group", IT expert: Filters can be integrated into the platform

The Information Technology expert, Elton Heta, has discussed in the News24 studio the possibility of closing the TikTok platform in Albania, highlighting some important aspects related to its use and the challenges related to cyber security.
Heta focused on the age group of TikTok users in Albania, noting that "about 56% of TikTok users are between 16 and 20 years old".
He suggested that filters and adjustments could be made to better manage the use of TikTok and minimize risks, but this requires increased commitment from institutions and the platform itself.
Regarding security and cybercrime concerns, Heta shared a personal experience where he said he had reported a case of his information being misused on the platform.
"I made a report to cybercrime about a case where my photos were taken and they told me that this sector does not work," said Heta. He emphasized that no concrete measures had been taken and that when he presented himself to the police region, he was told that "nothing is being done there either."
