The English police sink the Albanian group, find drugs worth 4 million pounds
A large quantity of drugs was seized by the police in the English city of Leeds, while its value reaches up to 4 million pounds.
It is suspected that an Albanian traffic gang is hiding behind the record quantity of drugs. The district commander, Steve Dodds, said that the discovery of the large amount of drugs was made in the northwest of the city.
The police said he is reserved for the moment to give further details about the seizure of the suspected narcotic substance cannabis. The number of people arrested during this operation is also unknown.
According to the police, the crackdown on this group, which is suspected to be made up of Albanians, is an "excellent example" to crack down on the drug trade in the city, especially at the "distributor level".
According to Dodds, more than 2,700 anti-trafficking and drug-dealing operations were carried out by Leeds City Police last year, with at least 58 successful operations.
