Snow problems in the Southeast, isolated villages and no electricity

Heavy snowfall in the southeast of the country has caused the isolation of several villages in the Municipality of Kolonjë and surrounding areas. In the Administrative Unit of Liberation of Kolonjë, the villages of Kurtës, Selenicë, Pishës, Qesarakë, Kaltanj, Blush, Psar i Zi and Orgockë remain blocked due to the heavy thickness of the snow.
Also, problems with electricity supply are reported in the villages of Radanj, Gërmenj, Vrepskë, Sotirë and Podë in the Leskovik area, as well as in the village of Mbreshtan near Erseka.
Kolonjë Municipality services have been constantly on the ground, working to open roads and assist affected residents, including several travelers who were stranded by the snow.
The situation is also aggravated in the Municipality of Pogradec, where the villages of the Administrative Units of Dardhas, Velçan, Trebinje and Proptisht are isolated. The thickness of the snow in these areas has reached up to 40 centimeters. Problems with roads and electricity are also reported in the villages of the Administrative Units of Lekas and Vithkuq, as well as in Upper Devolli.
Local authorities and emergency teams continue to work to resolve problems and restore normality in these areas affected by the cold weather.
Therefore, the authorities inform you that roads to administrative centers are difficult to pass with snow chains.
