29 kg of cocaine seized at the Port of Thessaloniki, the drug was hidden in a container of bananas

Greek Customs inspectors have scored another major blow against drug trafficking, with the discovery of 29 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside a container of bananas arriving from Ecuador at the port of Thessaloniki.

Specifically, AADE inspectors of the First Customs of Thessaloniki, during regular sample checks, discovered, using a self-propelled x-ray, a suspicious organic substance in the refrigerated trucks of a container of fresh bananas.

Customs inspectors, in cooperation with the Greek police, immediately proceeded with the confiscation of the narcotics, simultaneously notifying the competent Prosecutor's Office.
