The Border Police today blocked a boat and fined its driver 500,000 new lekë after he violated the security perimeter with the boat, endangering the lives of vacationers who were enjoying the beach.
Initially, the Border Police services received a notification from vacationers that a rubber dinghy had entered the vicinity of the coast in the Dhërmi area, and were subsequently able to block it.
The Border Police and the Vlora Marine Police Unit of the Vlora Coast Guard have intensified measures, significantly increasing patrols on the Vlora-Ksamil coastline.
During patrol, Border Police services received a report from vacationers that a rubber dinghy had entered the vicinity of the coast in the Dhërmi area, endangering the safety of beachgoers.
The services of the Dhërmi Border Police Station and the Maritime Police Unit intervened immediately and found the inflatable boat with the driver, citizen FD.
At the end of the administrative procedures, an administrative fine of 500,000 new lek was imposed on the driver. The vessel was also impounded.
The Border Police appeals to all users of watercraft to strictly respect the navigation rules and the safety perimeter for vacationers who go to the beach in designated areas.
