Journalist Klodiana Lala, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, has provided details of the brutal execution of Gilmando Dani, a few meters from the airport. 

Lala stated that Shullazi had informed his confidant to take care of his life and apparently knew that he was in danger. 

"Gilmando Dani had his sentence reduced and was released on bail. He had been sentenced to 12 years for extortion. It concerns the former Volgën hotel, which Shullazi had taken 30% of the property from by threats. There was also a conflict over the issue of electing the rector of the University of Tirana.

Gilmando Dani was released from Rrogozhina prison in October 2024, he has kept a low profile after that, there was no talk. But opponents saw him as Shullazi's deputy. He was withdrawn, on the verge of marrying an architect. He lived in Barcelona most of the time. It seemed like he had taken a step back. In 15 years, he was assassinated twice by the mafia, he had a very turbulent life, he had withdrawn in the last year, but opponents apparently saw him as Shullazi's deputy.

The police and the prosecution suspect that despite his non-public profile, he continued to be Shullazi's most loyal man. Before he was killed, Shullazi, through his trusted people, informed him to be careful with his life, but apparently Gilmando Dani did not take the appropriate measures.

Why do I consider it one of the most serious events? For the chosen location, a few meters from the VIP terminal, no more than 200 meters from the main entrance. It is a place that claims to have the highest national security.

If you look at how they acted, the fact that there were three shooters, they wanted him executed at all costs. The lights were turned off all day, there were no cameras for the rest, they followed safe routes to get away. It was a collaboration of several criminal groups, and very sophisticated at a very high level.

"Information was exchanged with Barcelona, ​​as it came from there, and several people were escorted to the Nikla area, verifications were carried out in Vlora and Kamza. But the escorts did not yield any major results," Lala said, among other things.
