Convicted and deported, who are some of the Albanians illegally returned to

Foreign criminals who avoided deportation committed more than 10,000 crimes a year, new figures have revealed.

Ministry of Justice data shows that almost 1/4 of foreign nationals were repeat offenders after being released from prison or after being granted a court order.

The 3,235 criminals who were released from prison without deportation were behind 10,012 offenses in the year to March 2022 – a 25 per cent rise on the last annual total of 8,021.

In addition to many law breakers, the British media lists many Albanians, which it defines as "dangerous" perpetrators.

Mauricio Myftaraj was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2020 after police found a pistol, 40 cartridges and gunpowder in his London home. He was deported in 2015 after being jailed three years earlier for a firearms offence, but managed to return illegally and continue his career in organized crime.

And Albanian Armando Gjoka, 24, was jailed for transporting £100,000 worth of cannabis, having previously been deported for a drug offence, but returned to Britain illegally.

Flogert Farruku, was caught working as a 'gardener' on a £60,000 cannabis farm - 5 years after being deported for the same offence. He has been jailed again and is expected to be deported after his release.

Dorian Puka, a fellow Albanian who has been jailed and deported twice from the UK, was filmed earlier this year driving his Ferrari on the streets of London after sneaking into Britain.

The Gucci-clad 28-year-old posted a video of himself driving the £300,000 supercar to his Instagram and TikTok accounts.

The Home Office admitted in October that the thief had been deported before, but said it was powerless to do so again until his asylum claim was fully dealt with.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said that 'the cost of keeping an offender in prison is tens of thousands of pounds. We have returned 14% more offenders, foreign citizens compared to the same period last year".

The Home Secretary is required by law to deport any criminal alien who has been sentenced to more than 1 year in prison, but has the discretion to deport any prisoner for less than 1 year if it is in the public interest.

The Ministry of Justice also published a summary of offenses committed by released foreign criminals, including 1,412 violent attacks, 2,688 thefts and 72 robberies throughout 2022.

There were another 558 cases of weapons possession and 213 sexual offenses. The highest recidivism rate was for theft, at 44.8 percent.
