A person has been arrested by the Tirana Police for the criminal offenses "Assaults due to duty", "Threats due to duty", and "Irregular driving".

The arrested person, with initials F. Gj., was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by RM, on 05.12.2024, on "Myslym Keta" street.

According to the police statement, it is learned that after the collision, F. Gj. left the scene and returned arguing with the driver of the other vehicle, RM. 

As the police services intervened to calm the situation, the citizen F. Gj. disobeyed the orders and punched the police officer, who is in the regime with a 10-day medical report.

Regarding a video published on social networks, we inform you that:

On 05.12.2024, on "Myslym Keta" street, the vehicle driven by the citizen F. Gj. was involved in a collision with the vehicle driven by the citizen RM, and then the citizen F. Gj. has left the scene.

After the traffic patrol arrived at the scene and made contact with the RM citizen, the citizen F. Gj. returned to the scene together with the vehicle involved in the accident and started an argument with the driver of the vehicle.

The Police Services have intervened to calm the situation, but during the intervention, the citizen F. Gj. started insulting the police officers, and during the attempt to neutralize him, the citizen F. Gj. disobeyed orders and punched a police officer. 

Then the driver of the vehicle, citizen F. Gj., was accompanied to the police station where he was tested for alcohol, which resulted in: 

• First test: 0.82 mg/l

• Second test: 0.66 mg/l

• Third test: 0.71 mg/l.

Following the actions, he was arrested for the criminal offenses "Assaults due to duty", "Threatening due to duty", and "Driving vehicles in an irregular manner".

The Police employee, as a result of the injuries received from the blows of the citizen F. GJ. is in the regime with a 10-day medical report. 

For this case, the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police has given notice of the arrest of this citizen on 06.12.2024, in the daily summary.
