Ukraine in the last 24 hours/ Sumy and Kherson regions hit by Russian forces, at least 5 casualties reported

At least five deaths have been reported in Ukraine in the last 24 hours, while Moscow launched an overnight attack with 112 drones, regional authorities say.
According to local authorities, three of the victims were in the Sumy region and two others in the Kherson province of Ukraine.
Serhiy Chernov, a local resident of Stepanivka, has told the media what he witnessed from the drone attack on his community.
"I had fallen asleep and then 17 explosions started in a row," he said.
"Then, there was a short pause and after that, three more," he continued.
According to the resident, the drones were of different types and he noted that some of the explosions were louder than others.
Another resident told local media that she was at home at the time of the attack.
The southern port city of Odessa experienced a heavy night of Russian bombing, with at least five people injured as fires broke out across the city.
More than 80 rescue personnel and 18 fire engines were mobilized to help manage the flames, according to the Ukrainian Emergency Service.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian armed forces said on their Telegram channel that they had managed to shoot down 87 drones, but 22 of them hit 12 different Ukrainian areas.
