Murdered in Egli Proga bar, Korça Court releases the two perpetrators after 15 months

The Korça Court has changed the security measure for citizens Leonidha Guçe and Denis Meçe involved in the murder of Egli Proga on August 10, 2024.

According to sources within the Korça court, the detention period for these citizens has ended and the court has ordered the change of the measure to "House Arrest" until the completion of the investigations.

Currently, the matter has frozen in the disclosure of the security cameras seized at the "Stropcka" bar where the incident occurred, while the deleted footage has been taken outside Albania for examination and return.

But it seems that the delay in fully documenting the event has caused the defense of Denis Meçe and Leonidha Guçe to request a change in the security measure for them.

They are currently expected to continue the investigation outside of their cells, while they are accused of intentional murder, committed in collaboration.
