Fire in an apartment in Memaliaj, gas cylinder explodes

A fire broke out this evening in a flat in neighborhood no. 5 of the city of Memaliaj. The incident occurred in the flat of citizen Aristille Laska, who according to sources lives alone.

According to preliminary data, the fire started after the explosion of a cooking cylinder, including the balcony awning and some household furniture. At the time of the incident,
Laska was not in the apartment. It is learned that he had placed the food for cooking and left the house for a short time, while the exact circumstances remain under verification.

Neighbors, who noticed thick smoke coming from the balcony, immediately notified the fire department, which arrived on the scene within minutes and managed to extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding apartments.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, while the investigation team is working to determine the exact causes of the fire.
