Birds "land" Rinas Airport: One hour of congestion after plane collision

An unusual incident occurred this evening at the "Mother Teresa" airport, where a plane hit a flock of birds during landing. For safety reasons, the runway was closed for about 60 minutes for inspection and cleaning.

As a result, several flights bound for Tirana were forced to divert, landing in Brindisi, Bari and Skopje. Meanwhile, planes attempting to land were seen hovering over Rinas for a long time, causing concern among citizens and passengers.

Authorities announced that the situation has been brought under control and the runway has reopened. However, passengers and hosts are advised to contact the airlines for updated information.
