A device containing approximately one kilogram of explosives was placed near the car of Report presenter Sigfrido Ranucci , causing the powerful explosion.
The device destroyed the journalist's car and his daughter's vehicle, which were parked in front of their home in Pomezia.
Preliminary investigations show that the device was placed between Sigfrido Ranucci's car and a gate.
The Carabinieri have seized surveillance cameras that may have filmed the bomber, La Repubblica reports.
"I reconstructed yesterday's events with the carabinieri. There is an endless list of threats, of various kinds, that I have received, which I have always reported to the judicial authorities. However, I feel calm in the sense that the state and the institutions have always supported me during these months," said Sigfrido Ranucci, leaving the police station on Via Trionfale.
"What happened last night was a disturbing development because it happened right in front of my house, where bullets were found last year," he concluded.
