Climate activists in Germany temporarily block Munich airport

Munich Airport was briefly closed early this morning after climate activists broke into the premises and landed on a runway, an airport spokesman said. Zedheni also said that one of the airport's two runways is now open, but there will be delays.
This mobilization took place at one of the busiest travel periods for this airport in southern Germany. A series of X social media posts from climate activist group Last Generation show members of what appears to be a runway, holding protest signs.
Multiple police and fire brigade forces were on the scene to disperse the activists. The federal police spokesman said eight people initially tried to enter the country at four different points at the same time by cutting through the airport's security fence.
