Donald Trump: If necessary, the US will militarily reinforce Poland, American troops will continue to remain in the country

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that US troops will continue to stay in Poland, adding that he is ready to increase the US military presence in the country if requested by Polish authorities.
Trump made the comments in the Oval Office on Tuesday during a meeting with his Polish counterpart, Karol Nawrotski, at the White House.
“The United States will help Poland defend itself,” Trump said, noting that current troops will remain in place and that a decision on their increase will be made soon. “We will know in the next two weeks how good the relationship is with Russia,” the US president added.
This statement comes at a time when the Trump administration has previously signaled its intention to reduce the number of US troops in Europe, but it appears that Poland is an exception, due to its strategic position and close relations with Washington.
The US president also announced that he will discuss trade and other issues of mutual interest with Navorotsky during his visit to the US.
At the same conference, Trump also commented on the military parade organized in China, which he called "a beautiful ceremony", but stressed that there was a noticeable absence in the official speech of the Chinese leader.
"President Xi is a friend of mine. I thought it was a very impressive ceremony. But the United States should have been mentioned, because we helped China a lot," Trump said.
