NBC News reports that Susie Wiles, Trump's campaign manager, may be his White House chief of staff.
Citing three sources familiar with the discussions, the broadcaster said Wiles earned Trump's respect and could handle big personalities.
If elected, she will be the first female White House chief of staff.
"Suzie is as good as she gets," said a Trump campaign official. "She ran a great campaign and has the respect of everyone, including Democrats who recognize her talent."
Another campaign official said she had "a respectful tone" and "doesn't play games."
"On the campaign trail, she said we need to check egos," they added.
