Hamas issued a new statement in the last minutes confirming that it had handed over two more bodies to the Red Cross, concluding that these were all the hostages it had "in hand."

Hamas says that extracting the remaining bodies will require "considerable effort and specialized equipment."

The handover of the bodies has also been confirmed by Israel, where in a statement, the Army announced that it will receive the bodies of other hostages from the Red Cross.

Hamas has returned eight bodies during this phase of the ceasefire, but Israel says DNA tests confirmed that one was not a hostage. That means the bodies of 19 hostages have not yet been returned.
