An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred today at dawn in the area of Lamia. According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake that occurred at 5:50 a.m. was 5 km south-southeast of Sperchiada. The focal depth of the earthquake was calculated at 8.4 km

Speaking to ERT about the earthquake in Lamia, OASP president Efthymios Lekkas said that "it is nothing special. It centered on Sperchiada. It is an area with high seismicity, there is no reason for concern, we are monitoring the evolution of the phenomenon".
