Not just in Chicago, Trump is ready to send the National Guard and federal security forces to New Orleans as well

US President Donald Trump left open the possibility on Wednesday of ordering the deployment of the National Guard and members of the federal immigration service (ICE) in New Orleans in order to fight crime, as he had recently done in Washington.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said his administration was considering whether to deploy forces to Chicago or somewhere else "...like New Orleans."
"Maybe in Louisiana, where New Orleans has a crime problem," the US president said, adding that "we'll solve it in about two weeks."
He also said that crime in Baltimore is at “levels that no one has ever seen before” and that he would consider deploying military force there if asked. “If we intervene in Baltimore, we can solve (the crime problem) very quickly…I think we’re waiting until we’re asked,” Trump said.
After Los Angeles and Washington, the Republican president is threatening to send National Guard and ICE agents to several major Democratic-controlled cities, citing the need to crack down on crime even as local officials report that homicides, gun violence and burglaries have declined.
