Gaza ceasefire agreement, Von der Leyen reacts: Both sides must adhere to the conditions

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the agreement to secure a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza and commended the diplomatic efforts of the United States, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey.
"Now, all parties must fully adhere to the terms of the agreement. All hostages must be released safely. A permanent ceasefire must be established. The suffering must end," she wrote in X, adding that the EU will continue to support aid distribution in Gaza and is ready to help with reconstruction.
