Iran's representative to the United Nations, Saeed Iravani, has stated that Iran and the United States are exchanging proposals and views in an attempt to reach a final agreement through Pakistan's mediation.

According to him, both sides are working on drafting a memorandum of understanding, although a final text has not yet been reached.

"We are presenting and exchanging views and opinions to reach the final text of a memorandum of understanding through Pakistan. We have not yet reached the final text, but we are following the issue," Iravani said, according to the Iranian state news agency IRNA.

He also expressed optimism that the process could be completed within this month.

According to him, the possible agreement would be accompanied by a broad regional ceasefire.

"The ceasefire will be global and will cover the entire region, including Lebanon," the Iranian representative declared.

The statements come at a time of high tensions in the Middle East, as diplomatic efforts are intensifying to avoid a further escalation of the regional conflict.
