Migrant boat sinks in Greece, victims reported, "Frontex" also in search operation!

A tragedy occurred in Greek waters today, when a boat carrying migrants sank.

A search and rescue operation, coordinated by the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Center, is underway south of Gavdos, after a boat carrying migrants capsized.

So far, three bodies have been found and 56 people have been rescued by a Frontex force.

Two ships are sailing in the area and two Coast Guard vessels are searching for other people who may have drowned, while a helicopter has also been deployed.

Searches are continuing for any missing people, as bad weather hampers the operation.
