The neo-Nazi group "Wolf" is dismantled, they were preparing an attack

Anti-Terror in Italy has dismantled a neo-Nazi network called "Wolf", who had also planned attacks on Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The base of the network was in Bologna, but arrests have been made almost all over Italy. So far 12 people have ended up in handcuffs, as they are considered to belong to the supremacist and neo-Nazi group called "Werwolf Division". They are accused of acts with terrorist intent, propaganda and incitement of crime for racial reasons, ethnic and religious discrimination, but also possession of firearms.

As part of the operation coordinated by the National Directorate of Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism, 13 more checks are being carried out in several houses. There are a total of 25 suspects, aged from 19 to 76 years old, and some of whom have already undergone checks.

The group is defined by the investigators, in a note, as a  "real organized cell, already in the operational phase and capable of carrying out attacks even with the techniques used by the so-called "lone wolves" . Investigations have shown that the neo-Nazi cell had prepared "serious attacks" against Meloni and an economist from the World Economic Forum.

From what we understand, the suspects have talked about this in several intercepted conversations. Also, they are accused of propaganda activity, proselytism and preparation of violent actions, such as the purge of the movement's traitors.

The neo-Nazi and supremacist group carried out propaganda and recruitment of young men and women ready for revolution through Telegram groups called "Werwolf Division Discussions" and "New Dawn Movement" ( the latter even more limited and born in a second moment with the aim of hiding the most violent projects and also useful for the formation of 'warriors' ).

It has been proven that they held live meetings and distributed leaflets made in the Bologna area.

The investigation started from leaflets that the authorities found in 2022 distributed throughout the Emilian territory, defined by the militants as "explosive", depicting the image of a man with a so-called "skull mask" and armed with the Nazi symbol of the sun black and the quote of the French right-wing extremist Dominique Venner: " Nothing will be achieved until the seeds of the liberal regime are uprooted ".

The "Wolf" organization was a resistance organization founded and directed by the Schutzstaffel during the last months of World War II, to carry out acts of sabotage and guerilla warfare against the Allies.

The organization of these units was entrusted to SS Commander-in-Chief Himmler, who placed it under the command of SS-Obergruppenführer Adolf Prutzmann and SS-Brigadeführer Karl Pfaumer.
