Peace between Hamas and Israel? Gjinishi: Stopping the war is a great achievement, but long-term peace has not yet been achieved!

Theologian and analyst Ermir Gjinishi spoke on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV about the peace agreement reached between Hamas and Israel with the mediation of the US. 

"It is not an agreement, but an agreement to serve an agreement between Hamas and Israel. An attempt was made to have Bibi Netanyahu attend the summit."

We have a ceasefire, it's a great achievement. We have completed the first phase, the hostage exchange is almost complete, only the part of the hostages who were killed remains, which will take time.

Humanitarian aid has started, 500 trucks per day, expect it to go to 1000 trucks per day. There are some issues that leave a long-term peace open. The other steps have not been determined, who the actors will be. 

Hamas will not be part of the government of Gaza. But the issue of who will govern it has not yet been resolved, because the Palestinian Authority is almost non-existent. The idea is to create a group of technocrats who are not up to date with the political movement. What will create order and the premises for governance are the peacekeeping troops, which will be sent by the US, Turkey, France, and so on. 

Trump said if it wasn't for the Iran strike this wouldn't have happened. Iran backed down, that's very important. Trump said we saved a world war. Iran is isolated in its influence, it will no longer have influence.

The actors who have been part of this massacre and strife are being overlooked, and this is good news. The idea that we will have peace in the Middle East so quickly, I don't think, but this is an important step.

The 20 countries that participated in the Summit today, it's not small. We saw the Carter agreement with Egypt.

"These countries are a kind of guarantee that this agreement will have the support of many other factors. You also have a defect, it only talks about Gaza and not Palestine," Gjinishi said, among other things.
