Reunification of eight Russian children with their families, Melania Trump: An "open channel of communication" with Putin, for the well-being of these children

White House First Lady Melania Trump has announced that eight Ukrainian children have finally been reunited with their families.
The removal of the minors came as a result of the war in Ukraine, while the First Lady managed to get them back through a letter to Vladimir Putin.
This letter was delivered to the Russian president in August by her husband Donald Trump himself during the meeting in Alaska.
The Ukrainian invasion has caused thousands of children to flee their homeland, Russia.
In June, the Humanitarian Research Laboratory at Yale University estimated that more than 35,000 had been sent to over 100 countries, including occupied territories.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, Mrs. Trump said that Putin responded to her letter and that they have established an “open channel of communication” regarding the well-being of these children.
