After nearly four years of war in Ukraine, foreign ministers from G7 member countries have called for an immediate ceasefire, stressing that talks between Kiev and Moscow remain deadlocked.
In the final statement after the meeting in Canada, representatives of the US, France, Canada, Italy, Germany, Britain and Japan reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine and stressed that "international borders cannot be changed by force."
The ministers also warned that they are considering additional measures against countries and entities that help finance Russia's war, while condemning the military supplies that Moscow is receiving from North Korea and Iran, also citing China's role in indirectly supporting Russia.
