The United States has said it is gathering information on pager explosions in Lebanon.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told a briefing that the US was not involved in the incidents and did not know who was responsible.
He further added that the US was concerned about any incident that could escalate tensions in the Middle East and stressed that he wanted to see a diplomatic solution between Israel and Hezbollah.
Miller also said it was too early to judge how the explosions might affect ongoing ceasefire talks.
"We are gathering information about this incident," Mr. Miller said.
