A popular YOUTUBER road racer has died aged 25 after crashing his BMW in front of a horrified crowd during a drag race.
Influencer 1Stockf30 was killed Tuesday when his 2024 BMW X5 collided with an Acura on a freeway in Queens, New York. The 25-year-old social media personality, whose real name is Andre Beadle, was killed in the crash and his passenger, a 21-year-old man, was injured but survived, the New York Police Department told The US Sun.
The driver of the Acura was uninjured and remained at the scene after being hit.
The NYPD's Precinct Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating the crash. Beadle is a Bronx native who gained hundreds of thousands of followers for sharing videos of himself hitting top speeds in his purple BMW.
His last Instagram post was a photo of his car with the caption, "The streets say I miss you!" Friends and followers of the YouTuber said their goodbyes in the comments and shared their devastation over the tragedy.
"Flying high makes you a legend forever," said a friend.
"I love you forever. Everything we do is for you," wrote another.
"RIP to the young legend who put NYC on the map," wrote another heartbroken fan.
"Keep us alive the city from above".
"It's all fun and games until this happens," one person wrote.
Other heartbroken fans shared their condolences but warned against the dangers of illegal street racing.
Remember you have a family to come back to.
In the video, Beadle's BMW could be seen firing into the distance at the start of the race, but a plume of smoke billowed out just seconds after he fired. The clip cuts to shocking footage of the crash scene, with piles of debris strewn across the road.
The BMW made a sharp right turn after going out of control and crashed into a light pole, the New York Daily News reported. The young driver was thrown from his windshield in the crash and was found crumpled on the ground by first responders.
Just hours before his tragic death, Beadle posted a 20-minute YouTube video of himself and his friends working on his purple BMW. Touching footage showed the young driver laughing with his friends as they made some last-minute crashes ahead of a race.
"We're out getting ready late at night," he told his subscribers.
