The latest poll, Trump wins the Electoral College vote / Clinton's former adviser warns of surprises
Donald Trump is projected to win the presidential race next week, according to a 2024 election simulation by FiveThirtyEight.
Trump wins 53 times out of 100 simulated elections, compared to Kamala Harris who only wins in 48 out of 100.
538 predict Harris will win 51% of the popular vote, but Trump is projected to win the Electoral College by 271 voters compared to his Democratic rival's 267.
The 538-winner prediction is based on economic and demographic data, as well as multiple polls that have Trump and Harris nearly neck-and-neck in the race.
But new polls today from the New York Times-Siena College, CNN, ABC News-Ipsos have given Harris an early lead over her Republican rival among early voters.
Dick Morris, a former adviser to Bill Clinton, predicted Thursday that Donald Trump will win this year's presidential election by a "huge margin."
Morris appeared on The Jeff Katz Show, discussing a variety of topics from transgender surgeries to Trump's appearance at McDonald's, as well as Electoral College predictions.
Morris predicted an upset for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, which would branch out from all the states of the movement, as well as "some surprises."
"I think Trump is going to win, and I don't think it's going to be that close," Morris said, adding that "he's going to win the popular vote narrowly, but it's going to translate into a landslide."
