Turkish military plane crashes in Georgia, 20 dead. Erdogan: Deeply saddened by the victims

A Turkish C-130 military aircraft crashed today, November 11, in the territory of Georgia, causing a serious tragedy for the Turkish armed forces.
The plane had taken off from Azerbaijan and was headed to Turkey when it crashed in a mountainous area near the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, according to an official statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he was "deeply saddened" and expressed condolences for those killed in the accident.

Turkish, Azerbaijani and Georgian authorities have launched a joint search and rescue operation and investigation to determine the cause of the crash. According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, the plane crashed in the Sighnaghi municipality, near the border with Azerbaijan.
The C-130E Hercules aircraft, with four propeller engines, is widely used by the Turkish military for personnel transport and logistical operations.
