He killed his close friend after being offered $9 million/ The shocking story of

The chilling footage shows Denali Brehmer, a convicted murderer, explaining why she killed her best friend, Cynthia Hoffman. In 2019, Brehmer killed Hoffman in an area near Thunderbird Falls, in Chugiak, Alaska, following a deal with a well-known online man who promised him $9 million to send him photos and videos of the crime.

This man, Darin Schilmiller, claimed to be a multimillionaire but actually lived in his grandparents' basement in Indiana. Together with her, Brehmer planned several crimes to earn money, including "raping and killing someone in Alaska." Two other men, Kayden McIntosh and Caleb Leyland, were also convicted of helping Brehmer kill Hoffman.

The group convinced Hoffman they were going for a walk, but then shot her and dumped her body in the Eklutna River. Earlier this year, Brehmer was sentenced to 99 years in prison for killing her friend. This shocking story was the subject of the latest episode of Court TV's Interview With a Killer, where Brehmer explains her reasons for the crime. She told moderator David Scott that she initially agreed to the crime because she was angry with Hoffman over a conflict they had over another man, Zack. According to Brehmer, she wanted Hoffman to "pay" for what he had done, but she had no intention of killing him.

On the show, former FBI agent Brad Garrett and David Scott analyze the case, stressing that Brehmer was not a naive victim of online manipulation. Scott says it's not clear who was the predator and who was the prey in this case of online manipulation. This case raises concerns about the dangerous impact of online manipulation and how it can lead to tragic consequences.
