Formula / Family pensions, who benefits and the conditions that must be met,

In addition to old-age pensions, disability pensions or special treatments for certain categories that are assigned a monthly pension amount, there is another category of pensions, family pensions.

A modest aid for families affected by the tragedy of the loss of one of the heads of the family, much of which belongs to the other head of the family until the second marriage or the child up to the age of 25 if he continues his studies. This topic has been brought to the attention of the economic expert, Kujtim Hoxha in "News 24", clarifying for those interested the conditions that must be fulfilled in order to benefit from this payment, the accompanying documentation as well as the method of calculating the amount of benefit.

BENEFICIARIES

The expert emphasized that the right to benefit from this pension is the wife or husband of the person who passed away and the children up to the age of 25, if they are still in school.

" Family pensions are treated with the new amended law. They benefit when one of the partners dies in a couple, the widowed wife or the widowed husband benefit, but if they meet the conditions when the wife is 55 years old, she receives half of the husband's pension until the moment she retires herself. She then compares her pension and that of her late husband and chooses to keep the one that is more beneficial. The children of the deceased also earn a pension, 25 percent up to 25 years old when they are in school, otherwise they benefit until the age of 18 , he explained.

Family pension is considered the pension that the deceased had or was entitled to. In the conditions where the widow is not a member of the family pension and the beneficiary is only an orphan, the measure of the orphan's pension is 50% of the pension that the deceased enjoyed or would enjoy, while when the beneficiary is two or more people and the widow does not is a member of the family pension, the measure of the family pension for each of them is 25%, but not more than 50% of the pension that the deceased enjoyed or would enjoy. Meanwhile, the widowed person receives 50% of the pension that the deceased enjoyed or would enjoy when he is alone, and for every other member he receives 25%, provided that the amount of the pension does not exceed 100% of his amount. It is worth emphasizing the fact that the amount of a family pension should not exceed the amount of the pension that the person who dies received or would receive.

In all those cases where the living parent is employed, is economically active or receives a pension as his right, the orphan child receives a family pension. In this case, the amount of pension for each orphan or other beneficiary is 25% of the pension that was due to the deceased, but not more than 50% of it. While the orphan, who loses both parents, has the right to receive an orphan's pension for each of them. At the time when the payment period ends, the beneficiary must make a request to the ALSSH of the place of residence for the continuation of the family pension. Attached to the request, the interested party must submit the relevant documentation.
