Today starts the new school year 2024-2025 for 350 thousand students across the country, 28 thousand of whom sit in the school benches for the first time.
This new academic year comes with important innovations and investments. Accordingly, from September 9, there will be 2,100 assistant teachers for students with special needs, 200 more than in 2023. Also, 240 security officers will be dedicated to the safety of students in schools, 40 more than before. 2023. Also, on the first day of school, the instruction of the Municipality of Tirana will come into force, which determines that the means of supplying shops and markets cannot circulate between 7:00 and 9:00.

The purpose of this plan is to guarantee public safety, maintain order and peace, prevent negative phenomena in schools, as well as increase safety for students and teaching staff, both in school environments and on the streets. In order to ensure the normal development of the learning process and the safety of students in outdoor environments and in the vicinity of schools, the State Police has engaged the auxiliary specialists of the Police in the areas, the Community Policing employees, the General Patrol services, the Special Force.
