SPAK requires more investments, over ALL 761 million are needed for offices,

For the furnishing of the offices of the new building, the purchase of electronic equipment and the installation of solar panels on the building's terrace, the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office requests more than 761 million Lek investments from the state treasury.

In the letter addressed to the Ministry of Finance, SPAK argues that part of the money is needed for the full operation of the National Bureau of Investigation.

" The request for additional funds in the item of personnel expenses is related to the need for 40 additional employees for BKH in the investigative position at a cost of 273.3 million ALL, and 205.6 million ALL have been calculated by the institution as a difference with the budget ceilings in reference to the full salary structure ."

There are more than 250 million ALL that, according to SPAK's estimates, are mainly needed for the digital and physical infrastructure of the Special Prosecutor's Office, writes A2.

" The request for additional funds in the item of operating expenses is related to maintenance services of electronic systems, for goods and services, building maintenance expenses, increased utility expenses. The request for additional funds in the item of capital expenditures is needed for the purchase of scanners and bridges for the control of objects and vehicles".

A significant item in the request for additional funds comes for ensuring cyber security.

" In implementation of the law "On cyber security", AKCESK has requested the forecast for financial expenses for the costs for the cyber security infrastructure, costs for the implementation of standards, as well as costs for increasing capacities."

This year, the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office had at its disposal over 1.8 billion lek from the state budget from about 1.2 billion last year./ A2 CNN
