While I was decorating the Christmas tree, I was listening to Albanian songs on YouTube, which automatically selected songs by Parashqevi Simaku several times. It is understandable why; because it has been clicked today more than ever. Obviously much more clicked even if it would have been a big hit in the US.
When I heard her fragile voice in that video and recognized her beautiful smile, I was overcome with sadness if what is said and seen is true and what immediately came to my mind is that life is not oil for anyone and not every day is like what we tell on TV, Facebook and Instagram.
However, I find it cruel to publish that video accompanied by the comments "homeless" "asking for alms" and this national "storm" of pity and calls for help is very hypocritical.
If Parashqevia wanted our help, it would have asked for it. He didn't ask for it, he didn't show up for years, he avoided us and he has his reasons. She didn't "remember" when she was well and she's not crying now either.
Since he left, no one remembered Parashqevi. Not even in the times when she probably lived a normal and maybe beautiful life, not even when she started having her own problems, that no one knows when she starts to cry. She has chosen the way of living and suffering, peacefully and without losing her smile.
Parashqevi Simaku is one of the few Albanian artists who shined as soon as he appeared on the stage. Her brilliance created many "enemies" and many admirers, lit up the gloomy days, became the idol of youth for her time.
She ran away and never "disturbed" us. She quietly tried to preserve her privacy through the ups and downs of life, so it should be respected by not being the subject of gossip, pity, pity, insidious pleasure, or even worse, profiting from clicks. Let's leave him alone and whoever wants to do something (unsolicited) for him, let him do it quietly and away from the eyes of others.
If we want to comment, Parashqevi Simaku has left the songs she sang, her beautiful appearance without filters and fillers and her aura, which no other artist in Albania has yet.
