Trump and Europe!

Trump has constantly criticized the European model, describing Europe as very beautiful, but not paying enough. In fact, Trump has repeatedly said that Europe sells a lot of cars in the American market and pays little. Also, Trump has described the Euro currency as something useless, useless. Of course, Trump's logic is mixed with the instinct of an entrepreneur who comes first with profit, but also of a populist who says "America first".

Trump has repeatedly criticized the EU countries for not paying enough for common security, and here is the balance they have available for security.
The war in Ukraine, which again Trump treats in the optics of "America first" and in the populist point of view hinting that if he won again he would end the conflict within 24 hours, has greatly changed the circumstances on the Continent and also for the space Euro-Atlantic.
Some analysts analyze, in fact, that the USA is the only country that has had some advantages from this conflict:
- It has increased the interdependence of Europe towards the USA in terms of security, because the latter is increasingly vulnerable to Russia's policies
- With the conflict of A serious danger has come to Ukraine at the door of Europe
- the German economy has suffered a decline due to the lack of gas supply from Russia and its political instability has also increased, making it more exposed to extremism that risks returning as a shadow. of the past
- America has increased the export of armaments and weapons production, supplying not only Ukraine, but also Europe itself.
- America has eliminated the possibility of a direct clash with Russia, because Europe is in the middle.
In fact, beyond the continuous demand not only of Trump, but also the need as a result of the conflict in Ukraine, many European countries are investing in the security and defense system, Italy has considered investing more than 2 billion euros to modernize the means armored and not only and also Germany has reactivated the defense industry for the first time since the capitulation of Hitler in World War II.
Trump seems to be accidental in the tradition of US foreign policy since it emerged from the "America I" idea, entering the First War and then participating in the Second, abandoning once and for all its closing policy.
In fact, the European Union project from the first moments, after the end of World War II, is also a creation of the USA, especially with the implementation of the famous Marshall Plan.
The USA during the Cold War, but also later, have been constantly interested in a United Europe based on democratic models of governance of the member countries.
Europe had made a known initiative to create its own Army, but this failed. In fact, this initiative failed as part of the project or theory of the "Federation of the United States of Europe", where the member countries, unlike today, had to leave all their sovereignty in the interest of a larger and more serious union on a federal basis. of the US-like state. Even if the joint army initiative fails, because the federalist theory also fails, winning the functionalist one of integration/unification "step by step", time is proving that it is more and more a useful and necessary idea. Even after the conflict in Ukraine, the leaders of Europe without any concrete initiative are talking more and more about the need for a European army.
In any democracy there is a big difference between a candidate or opposition and an elected president. In the Opposition or when you are a candidate you can say anything, you can criticize or you can even say things that don't make sense, but when you are president you are responsible for what you say, but more for what you have to do at some point certain and how you will do it.
Therefore, now Trump is the President of the USA and he already faces concrete challenges that he must make decisions and turn out to be successful for his country, but also for the allies who are an integral part of a common history and a common space for safety.
With a strong Europe, a strong Euro, the USA is stronger, and NATO's security is also more guaranteed.
The Americans have fought in two World Wars and today they have important military bases in European territory, but the highest and decisive cost for defeating evil was paid by the Europeans, because it was precisely they who suffered the greatest losses. large in people and with great material destruction. If the US did not have the bases it has in European territory, it could not be what it is today.
If the European countries do not make the economic exchanges that they currently do with the USA, if they do not sell the cars that they sell today in the American market, the euro currency would be much weaker, the European economy weaker and consequently they would have more little money to invest in the defense and security system, and as a result, the US would not be able to sell so much of its military industry to Europe, because the latter would not have the money to buy.
If Europe were weaker than it is, then its space risks being replaced by Russia and as a result the latter would be closer to the American continent. That American leader, even the President who uses harsh language and an anti-European policy, without realizing it is probably also following an anti-American policy.
The USA is what it is, that dominates the majority of the planet and in the conditions we are in it cannot exist either as a slogan or as a policy "America I", otherwise it risks returning to an isolated country like before World War I and would be surrounded from hostile countries.
Can the conflict in Ukraine be ended as Trump has promised within 24 hours? There is no real possibility, and moreover, it cannot be closed without serious consultation with the EU countries that have stood by Ukraine since the first day of the conflict. But can it be closed? After every conflict, peace is made and there is a real possibility that it will be made, but even peace itself is considered a temporary situation for the next conflict. Thousands of Ukrainians with the support of the US and the EU have given their lives paying a high price for freedom. Today, the situation is real in Ukraine is with great consequences of destruction, great loss of life of soldiers and civilians and also has a heavy reality losing de facto a significant part of its sovereignty. Therefore, I don't know what the price of this peace will be for Ukraine in the beginning, because there is no peace without a cost and without a price, and I don't know the condition will be the guarantees that this peace will be long-term, being a guarantee for the security of Europe.
The European Union is directly interested in the future of Ukraine, because it wants to advance with the continuation of the membership process, and the USA is also interested in the medium-term future, because the alternative of NATO membership remains serious.
